When violence threatens the quiet Mennonite town of Kingdom, the community is shaken to its core. Some advocate holding fast to the Mennonite tenet of nonviolence. Others, however, feel that the community must act to protect itself before it is too late. Hope Kauffman is caught in the middle between two differing views of her faith . . . and two very different men.

Nancy Mehl's Unbreakable (Bethany House Publishers, 2013) is an entertaining and thought-provoking read. This second installment in the Road to Kingdom series introduces readers to the Mennonite's strict belief in nonviolence and respectfully offers examples of differing points of view. At the same time, there's quite an exciting mystery going on and romance to boot! I enjoyed Unbreakable tremendously, and I hope that there will be another book in the Kingdom series.
