Review: Love Finds You In Glacier Bay, Alaska

Singer Ginny Marshall is on the verge of making her dreams of fame and fortune come true. She has been offered a major recording contract; all she has to do is sign on the dotted line. But . . . she just can't.  Not until she has talked it over with someone she really trusts.  To her surprise, that "someone" is not her smooth, handsome manager / boyfriend.  Instead, Ginny finds herself drawn to tiny Glacier Bay, Alaska looking for Brett, the man she had once promised to marry before her dreams of stardom tore them apart.

Love Finds You in Glacier Bay, Alaska (Summerside Press, 2013) is a light, entertaining  read. Tricia Goyer and Ocieanna Fleiss do a great job of blending their voices to create a story that flows well.  The love story between Brett and Ginny is sweet and romantic and has a welcome touch of reality; there are some obstacles for the couple to overcome.  Unfortunately, Love Finds You in Glacier Bay, Alaska contents itself with providing a tidy happy ending without giving the reader much of a clue how the couple gets past the obstacles they face.  How does the couple manage to balance Ginny's dreams with Brett's?  What or who gives?  Don't get me wrong; Love Finds You in Glacier Bay, Alaska is a good read.  But, I can't help but feel that it could have been more.
