Alas, it is true. I have been diagnosed with celiac disease, which basically means that I can't eat wheat in any form (would you believe that that shit's in everything?). EVER. AGAIN.
Don't worry, though; I'll be fine. It's just a little
*sniff, sniff* sad . . .
Goodbye, Bimbo! Goodbye!

Ahhh, the joys of spending gobs of money on a gluten free diet.
Seriously though, there is a plethora of cookbooks for gluten free diets and a world of stores that carry a boatload of gluten free products.
Some of it is actually pretty good.
dang...guess that will def come with some changes....
Bummer. It's paleo for you.
I'm sorry, baby. Maybe it's time to set your sights above Bimbohood? If you do, I will!
So sorry. My husband has a gluten issue, and I've tried to stay on the diet with him - it IS hard - but actually there are so many products out there now. The crackers - Mary's Gone are terrific - tend to be better than breads. Udi's bread is the best we've found.
Lundberg's has so many great rice mixes and there are a lot of good pastas- with corn/quinoa or rice--that are super good as well. It is hard to eat out - have to be careful there as they add stuff in.
Some great flourless chocolate cakes! Good luck. The thing is, if you are like him, you feel so much better when you are on the diet that it makes it easier to follow. But it's hard because other people treat it like a weight reduction diet so they always want you to cheat. k.
Yep, been dealing with the gluten crap for a good 9 months, finally feeling normal now that I've been off it for 3 months.
that sucks, at least we live in an era where gluten free isn't so bad
Oh damn that sucks. I have a friend who has celiac disease and she she seems to be quite creative with what she eats. I hope you find something to good to replace the bimbo days.
Awww, that sucks indeed!!!
truly sorry! i hear more and more of this from folks all the time.
Rice flour pasta is mighty tasty.
You can take the Bimbo away from Mama Zen. But you can't take the Bimbo Outta Fireblossom.
(Thats not a bad thing BTW)
LMAO @ G Man, who is probably right!
Oh so sad!
The stores now have sections of gluten free food, which we never heard of before.
You are not alone Mama Zen. Many people eat gluten free today and not suffering at all.
Gluten free is the new thing now though - so you'll have so many options in your face. We even serve gluten free communion bread at my church. :)
In one way it must be a relief as I believe living with undiagnosed celiac disease is no walk in the park.
No...say it ain't so! Not only is "Bimbo" the greatest/funniest name in commercial products, their snack cakes rule!
