Rug Rat

When Baby Puppy was tiny, she didn't have much going on in the hair department.

She would not tolerate a bow in her hair (I tried everything short of super glue to keep one on her head) and unless she was dressed in head to toe pink frills, she was often mistaken for a little boy when we were out and about.  Yes, it got on my new mommy nerve, but I never once considered putting her in one of these . . .

It's a baby toupee.  Because, obviously, creepy and itchy is preferable to bald, right?  Ugh! Poor little rug rat!

It's not where you start out, it's where you go after that that counts, and Baby Puppy will probably end up doing Loreal commercials. :-)

Her mom looks happy and beautiful, too!

Never did that to my little girl either at that age.

Waited until she was in dance school before through on a tu-tu.

I have never likes that head band things on babies either, but a baby toupee? What???

Some of my friends even pierced their infant's ear so people would know their bald baby was a girl... I have never been a fan of that either. I was always so mesmerized by their eyes and laugh, I didn't care.

I don't think Baby Pup look like a boy - her eyes are all girl. But even if she did, she had what mattered most... a mom who was totally in love with her :) (and you look gorgeous in glasses - can't say that about many people)

Just LOVED that "soft downy fuzz" against my cheek

couldn't do it either, I was just lazy that way, sometimes she wore the same sleeper two days in a row

Baby Puppy looked adorable as is. Beautiful photos. I can not imagine putting a toupee on baby. It reminds me of these moms that go all out to and enter their children in beauty contest. Happy Sunday!

Oh, jeez! That is terrible! Hard to believe someone would actually do that -- well, considering our society today, perhaps sadly, it isn't so hard to believe! Love the pic of the two of you! Beautiful -- as is!

OMG! Those headbands with gigantic bows and flowers are bad enough, but a toupee?? My mother use to scotch tape a little bow to my head when I was a baby. We were pretty low-tech back then.

I think Baby Puppy was cute as a buppy. :)

LOL...the idea is ridiculous and funny, but the thought that parents actually think they need to 'enhance' their babies in any way is just a sad. I guess this is what you get wen you mix consumerism and insecurity.

LOL they really will stoop as low as they must to make a buck

Lovely photo of both of you. :)

That wig is horrible, not yours I mean the one on that baby. Yuck. My younger daughter had a great mop of blonde hair even as a small baby, and I always thought it looked a bit weird actually. :D

That's actually real? How horrendous!

Yuck, uck, stupid!
My girls all had the gerber baby hair-do until after they were 1. I tried velcro barrettes and headbands, but a wig is just ridiculous.

You look beautiful in the photo. Is that your real hair? Just kidding. (about the hair, not about how good you look).

That's a sweet photo of the two of you.

OMG - I have NEVER seen that "hair" band before! SCARY!

And my daughter objects to just the hair band! Wait till I tell her this one! Ha ha!

Neither of my girls had much hair at birth. Both of them eventually ended up with beautiful long hair.

My mother always loved telling everybody that I was so bald as a baby that she sometimes scotch-taped a bow on top of my head. (I blame a lot on that ;>)
