Fluffy, Fluffy Bunnies

I was a little concerned that the sight of the African Wild Dogs ripping the Easter Bunny to shreds might be a bit much.

I needn't have worried.

Baby Puppy was enthralled.

"Mom, it's science!"

Maybe we'll attend an autopsy or something next weekend.

If there's ever a BlogLuxe contest for "Coolest Six-year-old Ever", you just let me know and I'll manage BP's campaign.

'Cause that's one seriously cool kid. And her mama's no slouch either. Funny how those two things seem to go together, innit?

Geez Mom. Come on. It's only science. What a dork you are Mom. Hee, hee. :-) I can just hear her voice.

It reminds me of the dead creatures we used to find on hikes. My daughter would poke them with sticks and ask questions about them that I couldn't answer.

Of course, now she's assisting in anatomy classes and helping kids learn to dissect.

If Baby Puppy ever makes it to Oregon to visit, she can join in!

It's funny how the truth and understanding is often clearly seen through a child's eyes.

Haha! I think you have a future scientist!

It's science if you're not the bunny.

My kids were so brave at that age, now 2 of the 3 go weird over the little spiders - something happens as girls get older - to some girls...curiosity is a marvelous gift
Celebrate!

I could have sworn that that was at the Zoo in Providence, RI, but I know better. Really, it is more disturbing to watch someone devour a quadruple bypass burger than watch a rabbit get ripped to shreds- and I keep rabbits. What really drives me nut is all of the roadkill I meet when I got out jogging. Cats and skunks are the worst.

There's no nature vs nurture here. It's all nature all the time!

Have colleges started recruiting her yet?

"But dad! It's only roadkill!"

Man, my eight year old is the same way....

And the sound -- was it of banshees in a meat grinder?

"It's science!" I love it. Maybe Animal Planet has desensitized her or something. Every show has some cute little creature getting killed.
