Jobs And Adventures

Almost every Saturday, Baby Puppy and her besotted Daddy go out on adventures. And, almost every Saturday, some new, bizarre thing enters my home.

Here is last weekend's haul.

Baby Puppy living the thug life with lovely Skelanimals Rabbit.

A salamander. On a positive note, this creature makes the geckos look way less icky.

As you can see, Daddy Zen is the "cool" parent. I, on the other hand, am the parent who nags about brushing teeth and picking up the Legos. Hey, somebody's got to be the buzzkill. I just never thought that it was going to be me. Every. Day.

Please visit my friend Bella to learn about the charity auction she and others are putting together to benefit another blogger. Read the full story here; Bella tells it so much better than I ever could.

I had never heard of skelanimals before. And I think I was happy about that.

We have the same dynamic in our house. I get to play the bad cop. Sigh!

I love the skelanimal rabbit. Too cute! I have to admit I would want one too. Looks like lots of fun. :)

sounds like my husband. he loves japanese toys, so he brings home toys with names like gloomy bear and of course the ugly dolls (stuffed animals)...

your salamander photo reminded me of the class pet I had my first year of teaching, named Justin (after justin timberlake), the class voted on the name. I've got some wild stories to tell about that creature! And, the bad part, it lived for what seemed like an eternity, 4 years!
