Details, Details

Last night, my husband came home from work with some sad news. His legal assistant's father had passed away. Naturally, Daddy Zen wanted to pay his respects by sending some flowers.

"Would you mind . . ." (that phrase immediately sends me into an eye rolling fit) "having some flowers delivered to Linda's father?"

"Sure, honey," I answer with all of the wifely enthusiasm I can muster. "I'll do it tomorrow. Just give me all the information."

He tells me the town and the name of the funeral home. Then, he pauses.

"I don't know the guy's name . . ."

No name? Well, hell's bells! What am I now, a medium?

". . . but, you can probably call the funeral home . . ."

Hi, do you happen to have a dead guy belonging to Linda Smith?

" . . . or one of the florists in town . . . "

Ding dong! Delivery for random dead guy!

" . . . to find out. I bet people do that all the time."

Really? And do these "people" of which you speak make these idiotic calls themselves, or do they turf off the chore on their wives?

That is hysterical. That's totally something my husband would do, so I laugh with you not at you. And I'm sorry about the assistan's father.

LMAO, sorry I can't help but laugh because that is so much like a conversation I would have with my husband. Men are not tuned in to the details....

Oh that sounds almost too familiar. Why does looking foolish fall into her job rathern than his?

LOL - that is hysterical and so like a husband. I completely sympathize.

Oh my gosh! You made me laugh out loud! That is a lot of work for you when all he would have had to do is ask his assistant for the name. Time to be a Private Detective! (P.S. That was me in the last post. It didn't sound very nice after I typed it. :))

Nope, usually they have their assistants make these asinine calls (like me!), but in this case...

Men are so good with details, aren't they?

;)

Of course! That's what all the "normal" (my husband's word) guys do.

Trying to get my husband to make necessary phone calls is like trying to pull teeth! What is it with them?

BTW, Since you have such excellent psychic powers, what are this weeks lottery numbers?

That's why I've always said I want a wife of my own. It sure would come in handy.
